Please let me tell you how the auction runs & the rules of how we conduct our business. Your attention is drawn to our TERMS ANDCONDITIONS which are posted around the auction & copies available at the main office. Please read them correctly & anything that you do not understand please ask, AS MISTAKES CANNOT BE RECTIFIED AFTERWARDS.
YOUR ATTENTION IS DRAWN to the DISCRIPTION of the vehicle which is displayed in the front window of the vehicle. This tells you what the vehicle is i.e.: make, model, engine size, date of registration & whether the vehicle has road tax or a current mot. Your attention is also drawn to the vendor’s declaration. ALL VEHICLESARE SOLD AS SEEN, AS YOU SEE THEM IS AS YOU BUY THEM, THISMEANS NO COMPLAINTS!
COMMERCIAL VEHICLES are subject tov.a.t. currently at 17.5% unless stated by the auctioneer. There is also a buyer’s fee usually 1% on top of the auction price. Indemnities are payable also on top of the auction price starting at £30 & increasing £10 per £1000 thereon. Buyer’s premium & indemnities are subject to vat @ 17.5%.
If you are the successful bidder you must come to the rostrum & pay a deposit immediately give your name & address, this may be a provisional sale or the hammer may come down to indicate that it is an out right sale.
PROVISIONAL SALE means that the bidding has not reached the asking price & it is up to us to telephone the bid & hopefully convince the vendor to sell the vehicle, this usually takes 5 - 10 minutes. If your bid is not accepted the deposit you have given us is returned in full.
HOW YOU PAY: We accept cash banker’s drafts & credit or debit cards, there will be a charge to use these cards. You can pay on the evening, or on the day of the sale, or by no later than 3pm the following day. Please note that we do not give you the full logbook, we give you a photocopy of the blue part and we then give you the green part or yellow on the new logbooks this enables you to tax your vehicle until you receive your new logbook, we send of the blue part in the name & address you put on your invoice so please write clearly & put your full address & post code on the invoice. Please note check the chassis numbers of the vehicle with the documentation we give you if there is any difference please contact us immediately.
All vehicles are to be paid on day of sale or the next working day up to 4PM failure to do this you will lose your deposit, any vehicle left over that date will incur storage @ £15.00 per day.

There is no cost to enter the auction and you are free to look around and see if there is something you would like to buy, if there is, you will have to wait for the auction to start.
ENTERING A VEHICLE
Your attention is drawn to the entry form & the terms & conditions of the auction (copies available), especially the declaration of Total Loss and damaged vehicles.
Ignorance is not an excuse when filing in the description, any misdescribed vehicles found to be on the Total loss register carries a £100 misdiscription fee plus any lost commission totalling £160 plus VAT. Please make your declaration clear. Yes or No(if No scrub out Yes)
When entering a vehicle into the auction you will have to bring all the documents that you have, such as a logbook, MOT and road tax. If you do not have a MOT you will not be able to put a reserve price on your vehicle in which case we will sell your vehicle to the highest bidder and you risk getting NO money back on your vehicle.
VEHICLES WITHOUT A FULLLOGBOOK WILL NOT BE ENTERED INTO AUCTION THIS IS DONE BY LAW BECAUSE OFLEGISLATION BROUGHT IN, IN OCTOBER 2004 OLDER LOG BOOKS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED UP TO 31/10/05
To enter a car into auction it will cost you £20, this is for the first auction only. Wich must be paid on the day of entry and it will cost you £20 per auction it goes through thereafter. If your vehicle is over 8 years old and you require a reserve price on your vehicles it will cost you a further £20 therefore this will be a total of £40 to enter into the first auction. Once we have sold the vehicle we will take commission, a sundries fee of £5 and VAT.
Your vehicle will only have3 tries so make sure you put a realistic reserve, any vehicle left on our premises after thattime will be charged @ £15 per day storage fees.
The commission starts @ £70, for vehicles sold under £999, it then goes up by £10 per thousand that the vehicle is sold for. Example:
Sold for £999Commission taken £70
Sold for £1,999Commission taken £80
Sold for £ 2,999Commission taken £90
The VAT is charged on all vehicles that we sell at the standard rate of 17.5%.
Please be aware that the auctioneer has the right to sell the vehicle 10% or £100 away from the reserve price.
Please note: if we sell your vehicle we will make you a cheque, one week from the date it sold and we will post it to the address you give us, we DO NOT allow customers to pick up their cheques!!!!!! ANY CHANGES OF NAME WILL INCUR A FURTHER £25 CHARGE
Could you please make sure that when you fill in your name and address, that it is clear for us to read, this prevents problems occurring when we come to issue cheques, also a telephone number that we can get you on is a must, bids cannot be submitted if we cannot contact you, it is in your interest to provide us with an available telephone number that is contactable during the auction times i.e. evenings between 6.30pm – 9.30pm & Saturday 11am-3pm
